We had a superb holiday. The villa is lovely with spacious comfortable rooms and courtyard, total privacy and a great pool. The photographs don't do it full justice. There are stunning views across the countryside towards the mountains. Located in a small quiet village within walking distance to the shops, bakery and tavernas of Amenio. Everyone was so friendly, and Dimitri and Maria made us very welcome and looked after us so well. Thank you.

Our stay at Villa Archontiko Galliaki was lovely, the villa itself was fantastic. Having everything you need to hand. Such a lovely location with shops and restaurants near by. You could get by without a car but its great to have to travel further afar. The pool was kept immaculate with frequent visits to check it was crystal clear and cleaning was excellent. We wouldnt hesitate to go back there.

Archontiko Galliaki is a perfect house to explore Crete from. Easy to the beautiful south coast, very quick to Rethymno, an hour to Heraklion and Chania. Petrakis met us to explain the workings of the house, which is fabulous, and Maria made sure it was all spotlessly clean, changing linen and cleaning midway through our stay. Petrakis recommended a few places to eat and swim, which were all amazing. We ate incredibly well all week thanks to these suggestions. I cant rate this property highly enough, though. It is quirky and charming, loads of space if you take the family, a lovely little pool in the courtyard to cool you down. We will be staying again. Harriet

We had the most amazing 16 day holiday at Archontiko Galliaki, it is great base to explore the whole of Rethymon. Dimitrisis was there to greet us with his lovely charming and warm manner despite it being gone past one am when we eventually arrived and Maria has come in every few days to change our laundry (a lovely treat which I did not know we had). We have fallen in love with this area of Crete and would come back again. Thank you

Superb villa full of charm and renovated with great taste. The courtyard and terrace make you want to come back to a more sunny time to enjoy the pool more. The house is located a few minutes from the village where there are many small shops that can be opened very late (bakeries grocery stores petrol stations and inns). 10 minutes from Rethymnon and about 30 minutes from the south of the island. We were greeted very warmly at our late arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the housekeeping and the linen changed in mid-stay. Luxury
