Corfu

Corfu Town, with its Venetian architecture, is a cultural and artistic heritage that can be felt everywhere. Not just in the coffee bars, tavernas, and trendy bistros but also in the art and music for which Corfu is famed.

The top places to visit in Corfu are Achillion Palace, the former retreat of princess Sissi of Austria, Mon Repos palace, where Phillip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II was born, the iconic Panagia Vlacherna, and Pontikonisi (mouse) island.

Crete

The 88th largest island in the world, Crete is a diverse and vibrant land packed with ancient ruins, buzzing cities, and breathtaking sandy beaches.

The north coast of the island is the most populated area, and most well known to tourists. Heraklion (or Iraklion) is the island’s capital and main entry point. Rethymnon and Hania to the west are much quieter and retain a distinct Venetian influence.

The south coast is crisscrossed with gorges and dotted with isolated villages and coves. It is also the stepping off point for the isolated islets to the south of Crete.

 

Kefalonia

Boasting a breathtaking natural landscape with exotic beaches, pine forests that spill down the mountainsides to the sea, and spectacular caves, Kefalonia is a popular holiday destination with great food, nature, and loggerhead turtles (with the eggs hatching during August).

Kefalonia offers many attractions, ranging from the natural landscape and beaches and ending at the great creations of those who passed through Kefalonia during the centuries. The most important are the Castle of St.George, the cave-lake of Melisani, the Drogarati cave with its stalagmites and stalactites, the Archaeological Museum of Argostoli, the monastery of St. Gerasimos, the beaches of Myrtos, Antisamos, Xi. 

Fiscardo is probably one of the prettiest harbours in the whole of Greece!

Rhodes

Best known as the “island of knights”, and with a large history along with its historic buildings and sights. The atmosphere at 'Old Town' Rhodes is like a medieval era; the tavernas and bars are a welcome retreat from the hot sun! Rhodes island, offers beaches, nightlife if needed, or quiet sleepy villages. 

 

Paxos

As the smallest of the inhabited Ionian islands, Paxos, often referred to as Paxoi or Paxi, offers visitors a rare and genuine slice of the unhurried, tranquil and traditional Greek lifestyle.

In reality, Paxos is a peaceful island of olive groves, crystal clear waters, and tiny fishing villages. Waterside tavernas and sleepy bars offering local Ouzo complete the relaxation.

With only one hotel on the island (The Paxos Club) villas are the main rental option, with some apartments and studios in the 3 main villages (Gaios, Loggos, and Lakka) 

Lefkada

Lefkada is famous for its natural sandy beaches! Connected to the 'Greek-Mainland' via a causeway, makes Lefkada easily accessible. There are many beautiful unspoiled bays to be found, and it is worthwhile going off-road and visiting some of the old traditional villages in the mountains. Closer to the beach you will find excellent inexpensive tavernas to enjoy.

Meganisi

Meganisi is a tiny island located between Lefkada and the Greek mainland. Regular ferries operate between Lefkada and Meganisi, the journey is only 20mins or so. It is the perfect destination for day trips from Lefkada or those lucky enough to rent one of the few private villas with a pool. Meganisi is one of those Greek islands, that we often see in our dreams!

Skopelos

Skopelos island is an amazing place for the summer holidays, and it is a part of Greece’s rich history and cultural heritage. Besides the unique natural beauty that can amaze anyone, the island has historical traces of ancient civilizations, as well as classical and Byzantine monuments that make it more than just a summer destination.

 

Alonissos

Alonissos is part of the Sporades Islands in Greece. With a distinctive and rugged beauty, immersed in olive groves, pine forests, and orchids, as well as traditional quaint villages dotted across the island.

Zakynthos 

Home to the worldwide famous Navagio (Shipwreck) beach and glorified by innumerable travel guides, Zakynthos island is one of the most popular Greek islands.  Breathtaking landscapes, exotic beaches with sugar-fine sand and turquoise waters, and crazy nightlife are the main reasons why this island is wildly popular. But, there’s more than that.

Exploring Zakynthos, you’ll discover picturesque hilltop villages, traditional monasteries, and dreamy natural landscapes. What’s more, the exotic Zakynthos beaches are home to the endangered sea turtle species Caretta-Caretta, which every year hide their eggs in the fine white sand of Zakynthos beaches. What's more, most of the beaches are within walking distance from the villa.
