Villa Giannis was a great place to stay for us. It was only a short 20min walk to the front where there are a multitude of bars/restaurants, all of a high standard. As the villa was up a hill there is always going to be some uphill walking and in the heat some people might find this difficult, especially with full shopping bags as all the shops we found are down at the front. While it wasnt a problem for us (we are in our mid 60s) older or less active people could find it problematic. But there are good taxi links from the centre to the villa. There is a bus from the town centre (Kalyvas) to Chania and Google will tell you the times but the last bus back there is only at 18:00, a bit earl

We spent three weeks at Villa Dimitris and cannot recommend it enough. Awesomely manicured grounds, with an architectural design that emphasizes privacy and brightness. The pool is just down from the front veranda, with a new wading pool that is perfect for toddlers and for people who just want to sit and soak. Inside there are three bedrooms and two baths with a spacious terrace ideal for reading and sunbathing. The kitchen is well outfitted and best of all are the owners. Dimitris is family owned and family run, and you can tell by the personal care they put into maintenance. The location is also ideal. Excellent. This is the sixth or seventh time that we have used either Villa Giannis or Villa Dimitri and we will almost certainly be using either of them again in the near future.

We had a brilliant holiday, the villa was in a great location and lovely to spend time relaxing in. Would recommend it to others and would happily go back again.The pool is bigger than shown on the photos - so that was a nice surprise!

The villa was a perfect base for our first visit to Crete. We particularly enjoyed the garden and the pool . The upstairs terrace provided a beautiful view of the surrounding area especially at sunset.
