Skopelos cannot be reached directly by plane but you can fly to nearby Skiathos airport and take a hydrofoil/catamaran or ferry to the northern port of Loutraki.
Skiathos port is about five minutes away from the airport. There are many ferry and hydrofoil crossings every day from Skiathos port to Skopelos. This usually takes just 45 minutes.
There is also a direct airline service from Athens and Thessaloniki to Skiathos which takes about 45 minutes.

Skopelos Beaches
Skopelos has a good range of sandy beaches around its coastline. Here is a selection of the more popular and accessible beaches that you can find on Skopelos. Most of the beaches are within walking distance from the villas.
Staphylos Beach: Situated on the south coast of Skopelos, Staphylos is probably the most popular beach with the residents of Hora (Skiathos Town) as it is only a few kilometres away.
Kastani Beach: This beautiful beach on the west coast of Skopelos is generally quite quiet and is a 15-kilometer drive from Hora (Skopelos Town).
Glossa Beach: Situated at the north-western end of Skopelos. This expansive beach has sunbed and parasol facilities available.
Velanio Beach: Situated just 4.5 kilometres from Hora (Skopelos Town). Velanio beach is only a short walk from neighbouring Staphylos beach. It is a naturists beach and as such can be much quieter than Staphylos.
Milia is the largest sandy beach in Skopelos, famous for Beach-parties.
Walking on Skopelos
Apart from the beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters, the island of Skopelos is famed for its wonderful nature. For those interested in exploring the surrounding area, undertaking some hiking areas is advisable. One of the most scenic routes on Skopelos is Skopelos - Grapes - Beach Valanio (old road).
Skopelos Tavernas
Skopelos is known for its grouper stew, meat with clams, twisters in the pan pies, sweets and preserves avgato mygdalato, hamalia, fresh and dried plums, modern peparithio wine, and honey.
Restaurants of all kinds are everywhere. The grouper stew is on the list of shore in the harbour, as well as flowers and stuffed chicken with vegetables. Nice view of a tavern Pefkos Staphylos. Note also the restaurants Platanos, Enjoyment, Phoenix, boatyard, East, Walnut and Peparynthos. The traditional cheese pie is the pitch of cloves, behind Eleftherotria.
Diving and Watersports
