One of the main attractions of this crescent-shaped beach is its varying terrain and ground levels, giving it a more natural appearance to how it may appear in photographs. The flat headland on the eastern side called Punta Grossa, which links to the wooded areas and sand dunes at the far end of the beach are less commercialised and are where most of the private villas and apartments are located. Towards the west, the land rises with a steep valley splitting the area, resulting in the resort being terraced with the resort buildings on three different levels.
